Longing
That piano chord sets off a breeze
A summoning wind of everything
Candlelit shadow points the way
Into a world I long for.
Memories of a future where
I don’t lie of warmth
Stifled breath of cascades
Only but a forgotten wound.
As the sun dips into the ocean
Fade the light away for crystal balls of the beloved.
For once, I see.
Where I wish to be.
Feel the flinch of a snowflake
Meander into a teary river
Time- to lose all purpose and fairness
I beg on my knees, for an eternity.
There is no greater perfection
Even if the light blinds me
Even if the blizzard rips apart my lungs
I vow no mercy for myself.
And the dusk engrave me unto its land
Bury me in itself
I am a prisoner by will
Let me stay in my longing.
