The Euphemism
Breathing in the rain is a complexity of words
wanderers I have met are in awe of her magnificence
If I crumble to nothing tomorrow
Wait, and let me wash away in her arms
I have had no philosophies answered
Nor do I have any left to question
In this void of endless tedium
Fleeting escapades serve no purpose.
When the sun deserts the sky
Entropy becomes petrifying
All these fortresses I have built in trepidation
Weakly dissipate like their maker.
I readily adorn myself in Kalopsia
you will never glimpse my truth
For everyone that’s wondering why
Certainly nothing has ever hurt you.
I have failed all my gladiators
I now ride alone to battle in the colosseum
I am armed with a wooden sword and yet it is enough
Lord save all the fools, I know when to give up.
If this ruinous monotony is my destiny
I surrender in this war I could never win
The world has never been unfair to me
And that, is tremendously worse.
Every single dandelion that has ever seen me,
fly far away to the places I’ll never be
Don’t forget to leave with a part of my soul
Now that it’s broken there’s a million shards you can take home.
And if the world end before it ends me
Farewell my darlings, C’est la vie!
